retirement party for gregory sun at top golf

The PBWS staff had a blast celebrating our Partner Emeritus, Greg Sun, at his Topgolf retirement party this past weekend.

Greg says, “I am very grateful to the many clients who have supported us over the decades, to the consultants who have been creative and collaborative design partners, and to the loyal staff members whose fellowship and friendships have enriched my life enormously. PBWS’s future is bright. The firm will successfully meet new challenges with the positivity, energy, and equanimity that have been the hallmarks of the firm since its founding.”

Highlights of Greg’s long career include the PCC Community Education Center, the Lodge at Camp Paivika, Margaret Bundy Scott Child Development Center, Century Square, Roxbury Park Clubhouse, Crown House. Greg also developed a passion for universal design and became an expert in accessible design. He earned the designation of Certified Access Specialist from the state of California; the sixth person in the state to do so. Under his leadership, the firm has surveyed millions of square feet of existing building area and assisted clients to make their facilities accessible to people of varying abilities.

Shown below is Greg being presented with his very own Greg the Architect Bobblehead. This bobblehead is equipped with PBWS designs/renderings, a tool belt to fit measuring tapes when performing ADA site walks, and a toolbox for his T-square and tracing papers.

All of us at PBWS appreciate Greg’s leadership and friendship over the many years. We wish him all the best as he embarks on his next adventures!
